Apologies, as this is only peripherally linked to digital voice, FTTP/C, VoIP, etc but I thought people might be interested. It's something I wasn't aware of but it seems Freeview and similar digital broadcast services could be threatened by internet delivery of the services it provides. I'm not sure if it's likely to happen short term but it seems someone has opened a petition for it to be discussed in parliament. It's not something I'm personally concerned about; if someone wants to provide me with a decent Gb fibre connection at a reasonable price I'm happy but it does seem a potential widening of the digital divide and, hence, something MPs should discuss?
