Boris moving to Fulham?

Interesting to see that Boris and Carrie maybe moving to Fulham.Will they be welcome from the SW15 forum?Many thought he opened up the economy too soon after lockdown, and were furious with him for doing so.Boris was however proved right. Remaining locked down and paying out the furlough payment scheme any longer would have been an even bigger disaster for the economy.The excessive government money printing, subsequent inflation and cost of living crisis we are now experiencing from the lockdown has been catastrophic. Let's remember that Labour wanted to lockdown even harder and for even longer than Boris, so the mess would be far worse if they were in power. It is interesting how Johnson seems not to be subject to the same standards as other politicians. If anyone else was considering buying a house in London, it would be considered unacceptable for them not to choose their constituency. He has reportedly said he will contest his current seat but it is impossible to see him retaining it, and not even pretenting to consider buying a house there shows he has accepted this inevitability.His decision not to stand down must have something to do with the extra money he will get even as a defeated candidate. MPs get parachute payments if they lose their seats. It has been reported that he has been paid over a million recently for just four public speaking engagements. However, he may not be able to repatriate this because of unwillingness to pay tax and, as he apparently just recycles the same speech every time, the sustainability of this as a source of income is questionable.His ineptitude with personal finances is legendary and he remains beholden to rich patrons for holidays and accommodation so I would anticipate that he would take every opportunity to draw money from the public purse.

Other than it not being Downing Street does anyone care where the Johnsons live other than his family and his constituents who would probably like him to be in Uxbridge? Anyway, doesn't he already own a property in London and another near Oxford, and Fulham isn't SW15 is it? For many reasons I doubt our paths are likely to cross.If I remember correctly most of my posts concerned the fact that it looked like most movement controls during the pandemic were intended to protect the NHS from total collapse as the government knew how much it had run it down over the years. Certainly, the NHS now seems to be in crisis - best not get ill or have an accident at the moment. I have two relations who recently have been kicked out of hospital after major surgery before the original scheduled leave date and with inadequate follow-up care services (one is now seriously ill with complications including a fractured vertebrae he suffered in hospital after his operation). And covid is still around, there are still people going into ICU with it.I don't know why Johnson doesn't give up politics and stick to after dinner speaking. Many will not forget Partygate and his other misdemeanours like supporting Cummings when he broke the rules.

I read about this yesterday.  I hadn’t realised that Carrie Johnson grew up in East Sheen and her mother still lives there.
