John, an understandable question: some (now) decades ago Millwall fans rampaged along Fulham Road, they smashed a pet shop window all the animals to be put to sleep, but worse than that some so-called fans grabbed a pram from a young mother and careered it down the road with baby in it, additionally there is today a large, some might say embedded, degree of racism in a significant number of football fans - less so in the clubs perhaps but it is evident on the pitch all to often - so no I do not support football in any way as this is how it affects some persons, What I do take seriously are attitudes of decency towards others regardless of whether I agree or disagree with their political opinions or deeply held religious beliefs, and yes I occasionally fail on these points but no-one is perfect are they?
