does anyone have a machine that will show video 8 or high 8 tapes?

Discovered we have loads of family films on tape, the camera no longer works, and we'd love to see what we've got. It's a long shot, but thought I'd ask here first. Thanks

"they're very expensive, and as we don't want one permanently, it made sense to try to borrow one first."Agreed, but in similar situations I have thought that I could buy the item, use it, and then re-sell it. Mind you, I only have done that with a book. It is a gamble.

Thanks Matt. Yes, I do, but they're very expensive, and as we don't want one permanently, it made sense to try to borrow one first. We don't want to spend a fortune on having everything professionally digitise - If there's half an hour of piano playing and swans gliding past, then we don't need to have those done!
