Putney Bridge Closed?

Hi there,Does anyone know why Putney Bridge was closed yesterday evening, at around 5-6pm? Police had the entire bridge shut and were diverting pedestrians to use the nearby rail bridge for crossing. Hope everyone was okay.Thanks.

This isn't an unusual occurrence but thankfully in this case it ended without anyone coming to any harm - see front page.
