Opening as Burger King next to 5 Guys. How many more food places are there going to be it's getting stupid.  They should turn PHS into a place for naturists, because we will all be walking around naked.  We don't all want to buy clothes on line and have to keep sending them back.

Slick marketing and product placement with an illusion of choice? Just stuff it full of salt, sugar and spices and it's possible to push any cheap ingredients? Am I being unfair, I never eat in those establishments as there's generally few vegan options and if there are I know others have experienced problems with young, inexperienced, poorly paid staff confusing ingredients and preparation methods?However, I can see why families or teenagers on low budgets would be tempted. It's interesting, though, that sushi bars seem to be, er, flavour or the day in Putney

mmmm, wasn't a very expensive suit, it was literally the only suit I own and I think it's probably 15 years old, can't remember how much it actually cost but it wouldnt have been much.Slightly strange to be accused of 'hiding behind my keyboard' and 'invading Conservative fundraisers' at the same time I have to say.Perhaps your arguments aren't as thought out as they could be? I might be tempted to come along to the meeting though just to see your bonkers, hysterical ranting in person lol.

Well, I would recognise you from your photo taken when you invaded Conservative fundraiser, (very expensive suit), however I frequent and support local high Street shops and I have never seen you supporting local businesses, maybe you should start shopping locally instead of hiding behind your keyboard, come to the police meeting on 17th November at Putney Pantry, let's hear how you will help tackle crime and anti social behaviour that is contributing to demise of PHS, combined with BID extortion of local businesses, filthy Street, and flytipping!! Come on down and be counted!!!

Barbara  Why don't you get something that you have and you like copied?  Or altered or mended?  There's nothing like wearing some of your favourites again or giving them a new lease of life.  That's what we had to do when we lived abroad and there really weren't any European clothes.

For those that don’t like H&M or TK Maxx.Oliver Bonas are very popular for women’s clothing , they have a good sized store in Putney Exchange. Joy next door is also women’s clothing.Jaki on the High Street, gets mixed reviews but does have a good following. Phase Eight closed because hardly anyway went there. That was women’s clothing.

A friend went in the Poundland today said a lot of the selves empty. We really need clothes shops. We can't or arn't able to traipse up town. Especially if you can't walk far. Putney and Hammersmith, King street used to be great for shoes and clothes. Is that why so many people have forgotten how to dress and only wear trainers. It's a real shame.

I don't seem to just be PHS; yesterday I noticed that the House of Fraser at Westfield, Shepherds Bush is closing down. I suppose if the fast food places can keep costs down they might survive if people still want to meet friends at such places? Or will they, like high street stores which have strong competition from internet retailers, lose to people eating at home using internet food deliverie services such as Uber Eats? Thes can presumably use dark kitchen centres to get economies of scale?

Wandsworth council always protected shop frontages and PHS was only allowed 30% A3 planning use. In the summer 2020 the Government changed the planning use classes so this restriction is no longer in place. As a result more hospitality businesses are opening on PHS. It is no fault of Wandsworth Council or the BID. Like most people we wonder if they willall be busy enough to cover their overheads. Probably not with the cost of living crisis.

Have you visited lots of other high streets recently?  Who has the time to go out shopping or wants to in their spare time?  Jobless people may have time to window shop but they tend not to have the money to shop. Eating is far more necessary than shopping...

It now appears to be a "thesushi.com" advertising sushi, stir fry, poke, bao and bubble tea. A change from burger, chicken wings, kebabs, etc. Although I notice there must now be a least three sushi bars in Putney. I wonder if they sell tofu sushi? :-)

Pop-Up shops are a great way for start-ups to get themselves noticed but they do have to be somewhere where there is some footfall.  Lots of towns and cities now seem to be using disused premises for climate change hubs where energy solutions and ideas can be found as well as other ways to make the most of a reduced income and living costs and insulate your home as well as staying well.  High tech and low tech.

I personally would prefer something a bit more enticing, that would bring people to Putney, but on the other hand, it's not selling alcohol, and it would be occupying vacant premises at least. If the good folk who've been out drinking can hopefully get something to eat, that's good, isn't it? It's quite a large shop, so I'm not surprised that it's got an application in from a food outlet. Being realistic, given the current climate, we're not going to be getting many new, indepenent type businesses opening up. I had a look at the application, and couldn't see 3am mentioned anywhere (I don't know if the Labour Council will be different from Tory one, where 2am was the cut off time). I couldn't see any comments, either for or against, assuming I was looking at the right application. 2022/3726. There used to be a Burger King where Tescos is I think, way back when Abbey National used to be opposite them, where Bills was, if memory serves.
