I personally would prefer something a bit more enticing, that would bring people to Putney, but on the other hand, it's not selling alcohol, and it would be occupying vacant premises at least. If the good folk who've been out drinking can hopefully get something to eat, that's good, isn't it? It's quite a large shop, so I'm not surprised that it's got an application in from a food outlet. Being realistic, given the current climate, we're not going to be getting many new, indepenent type businesses opening up. I had a look at the application, and couldn't see 3am mentioned anywhere (I don't know if the Labour Council will be different from Tory one, where 2am was the cut off time). I couldn't see any comments, either for or against, assuming I was looking at the right application. 2022/3726. There used to be a Burger King where Tescos is I think, way back when Abbey National used to be opposite them, where Bills was, if memory serves.
