WONDERFUL DAY

What a wonderful day - things can only get better - and perhaps eventually the UK joining the EU single market and the customs union too - the icing on the cake - all we need is a general election for the people to decide not the deranged acolytes of a busted political party.

I agree with you Sean.The hard Brexit option is proving to be a big mistake.  Then COVID arrived and that certainly made matters worse.  Politicians with dubious competence, integrity and intelligence aggravated matters.As somebody told me, only a country in decline could have a PM like Truss.  Even worse, saying it is considering reinstating a PM it had dismissed 6 weeks earlier.....

On the contrary the UK has performed very poorly outside the EU since 2016. Just because Bojo claims something doesn't make it true — usually quite the opposite

What is it about the EU that still gets to you. If you had asked people about it in say 2014 then the general opinion would have been that it is not up to much. After the vote it suddenly morphed into this extremely successful organisation. It remains what it always has been, a low growth high welfare organisation that is far too big & is lumbered with a common one size fits all currency. Still I suppose you lot yearn after passport free travel. Try getting on a plane, train or a boat and see how far that gets you. Or more incredibly you might want to go and work or live there. As if. If you are mentioning economics the UK has grown at double the rate since they introduced the euro. You have been sent round the twist. Oh & by the way can you ask Starmer what a woman is.
