e-petition requesting a general election

The e-petition entitled: “Call an immediate general election to end the chaos of the current government” was discussed by the Petitions Committee yesterday. Government Members need to recognise that we are here to serve the public. The public can decide; they can vote to put this Government back in power, or they can choose something different, but that should be a choice for the people in this country, and not for us in this room.Question put and agreed to."Not too sure what happens from here.

The only way a GE can take place is if the government loses a vote of mo confidence. Given the large majority the government has it seems unlikely that enough Tory turkeys would vote down the government so close to Christmas? I suspect it's more likely the 1922 committee will find a way to replace Truss with their own nominee in the same way KK was ousted.The Tory party is an interesting example in autocracy, further evidence they only pay lip service to democracy: Capital and Capitalists are their real governors?
