Flu Jab

Has anybody else had a reaction to the flu jab. I've felt ill since Monday. Really coughing and feeling sick.

Ah so not a reaction to the jab.Hopefully Mr Beer will cross this off his list. Coincidences do happen.

We did the test a bit late on Saturday, turned out it was Covid. Temperature gone down, cough nearly gone.

I don't think mine was Covid as I did a test and it was negative.

Still feeling rough from Monday, coughing stopped a bit but very tired, want to keep sleeping.

You can get Covid more than once - so many people seem to think that once they've had it - that's it.  It looks like it depends on how much you are exposed to.  Ventilation has been improved in many buildings for a reason but don't - you can't - just depend on everyone else to be careful and considerate.

That sounds like a virus.  I had a day's headache and a spectacular running nose when I had Covid this summer followed by a seal-like cough which was tough to kick.  Covid is still very much around and mutating as viruses do but generally not as bad.  My other half at the same time had a throat so sore he couldn't swallow painkillers so keeping hydrated was difficult.  He was much worse than me - worringly so - and didn't move for so long that his watch stopped working.  We were lucky we weren't both so ill at the same time and that wevwere prepared for a stint at home.  We were both very tired for several weeks. We both tested positive for covid.Unfortunately there are some selfish people around who take no care when they are obviously ill to make any attempt to keep their germs to themselves. In other parts of the world they take more care as a matter of course.I just had a bit of a sore arm after the flu jab (just couldn't sleep on it) but more sore after the Covid booster 10 days later.  I wish I'd thought about it and had that in the other arm.  Neither was bad enough to take paracetamol.

 I had a slightly sore arm after my Moderna booster at the chemist, as did my wife after her Pfizer booster at St George's Hospital. Otherwise, no I'll effects.

I've had symptoms like this recently - headaches, congestion, sore throat, runny nose and all that and I haven't had any vaccinations recently.It is just possible that people get these symptoms from one or more of the 2 hundred odd different respiratory viruses which circulate in the UK as the weather draws in and that having had a jab recently is just a coincidence.The sore arm - well that is more likely to come from having had a needle stuck in it.

Young lady working in the Big Boots, I said are you OK, this was last week, said her arm had really swollen. But face was really red and had a runny nose.
