Ash, I've no idea who you're intending to insult. (Usually throwing insults around is a sign of that person having lost the argument.) I've been trying to stick to facts and, actually, I'd agree with you that the UK and EU governments should be focusing on arresting the people smugglers (think I've said that several times before), and I certainly wouldn't gloat at refugees or economic migrations trying to find better opportunities but who instead have their lives put at risk by criminals ripping them off. All Matt was doing was saying that, as predicted by many (nearly half of the voters in the referendum?), Brexit hadn't helped the UK to control its borders.Further, in my opinion, the Rwanda deal (if it ever gets off the ground) is just a stunt to distract the gullible from the government's failures ; the deal with Albania to return their nationals arriving in the UK with inappropriate documentation seems more feasible.In answer to Paul's unjustified statement, I like the UK, I don't hate it, I just dislike the incompetent liars running the country for their own and their friends benefit.
