Adulterated/fake honey
The British Bee Keepers Association (BBKA) delegates at the 2022 ADM overwhelmingly mandated the EC to take action to address the issues of adulterated/fake honey. One of the actions was to start a petition to ask the government to update and overhaul the labeling requirements for the sale of honey. The petition closes on the 7th August.
We need the government to overhaul and update the labelling of the honey sold in the UK. This is the first step in reducing the amount of ‘so-called’ honey sold in our supermarkets that contain very little honey produced by bees.
