Dying Platinum Jubilee Trees

Wandsworth planted seven delightful young trees in Leaders Gardens to celebrate HRH's Jubilee. The intensely dry weather is killing them. Please can those who are v local take a bucket of water down and pick a tree to water - or do more. I don't really understand the "Gator Bags" but maybe fill those. I have alerted the council but who knows if they will get there in time.

New trees need up to 10 gallons of water per days and can die very quickly.

The trees are maintained by 'Enable' who I think have one person looking after the watering for the entire borough, the contract isn't up for renewal for a while yet so it's irrelevant who is in power at the moment.The above isn't meant as a particular criticism of Enable, just saying you can't pin this on Labour (yet).In weather like this if we want to continue to live in a leafy borough then I don't see why residents (when able) shouldn't help to keep the young trees alive.

What things? That plants need more water when the weather gets hotter?
