alexander macleod arrogant assumption

I wrote he ( Justin Welby) ' should take heed and reflect on a certain predecessor of his, who came to an unfotunate demise in Canterbury Cathedral for his interfering in politics' Alexander Macleod replied  that (I ) am supporting a radical measure which most of us would hesitate to endorse. I think I'm right in saying that advocating murder is agaist the law.Have you been sitting in the sun too long today and it has addled your brain?  Since when has an observation of a past event been an incitement to murder?Am immensely hurt by yourinterpretation of my post and think it demeans you  Please do not further repeat it as you already have

Barbara, it was a pretty silly comment. Perhaps I should look out for a mention of Spencer Perceval, a predecessor of Boris Johnson who was assassinated in the Lobby of the Houses of Parliament in 1812.Nick

Barbara: I did not intend to hurt you, merely to suggest that your choice of words could be misinterpreted. After all  Beckett was murdered, and any idea of that happening to Welby is surely unthinkable!  We are talking about a deeply serious matter and I fully accept your right to hold opinions about it different from my own. I really do apologise for causing you distress. It certainly wasn't my intention.
