Last night's Paris Open

Anyone watch the epic Paris Open quarter final between Nadal and Djokovic last night?  As the Times said, the match (their 59th meeting) "was so long that it started in May and finished in June.". No.  I didn't mean Djokovic  I was thinking specifically of people such as Zverez, playing Nadal Friday, and Kyrgios.  Both of whom are violent and aggresive.  Many years ago you never had that sort of attitude from players such as Vic Seixas,  John Newman or Rod Laver. Those were the days when you could walk around the courts at Wimbledon and actually talk with the players. Never met Federer though !

For once I totally agree with you  Have been a supporter for many years  It's lovely that he can be world class without being really horrible weith it as lots of sporting people are

Of all people here I expected you to have enjoyed the match, Sue, so I'm pleased you caught it - the only thing I don't agree with your post is in favourite tennis players: mine is definitely Roger Federer.

Richard! I did and it was amazing, fantastic, incredible, stupendous etc etc (I've run out of superlatives) and totally enthralling!! The two best players in the world playing at their very best constantly outwitting each other until the absolute King Of Clay and my favourite tennis player ever, triumphed. I am going to watch the match again today and savour every minute because I was so nervous for Nadal last night I couldn't relax.
