UK government Covid budget !!!

Just the tip of the iceberg….Current estimates of the cost of Government measures announced so far against covid range from about £310 to £410 billion, another 200 billions has been mark this year in quantitive easing. Then add  the massive wave of COVID-related bankruptcies happening in the U.K. …. It’s a bloody mess and  won’t get any better.  Sorry to be doom & gloom but it’s important to hold our government and Parliament to account.

A result of austerity and Brexit snd a Govt run by chancers. The NHS has been underfunded for years and had thousands of vacancies at the beginning of the pandemic and has thousands more now.  The failure to carry out and keep updated the risk assessment procedures and stocks of PPE necessary in preparedness for the expected sometime pandemic.Thousands of health care workers are now being brought in from India and the Philippines.

Does Mark Steyn know tomorrow's Euro million results?If so it could be a win-win :)On a serious note. I understood the New Zealand Approach to COVID and I understood the Swedish approach. I never understood the UK approach.Shocking failure by: government, opposition who were absent, media and other state institutions.Will anything change? No - unfortunately people will see this as a failure of individuals not of process.

don’t think anyone knows of Mark Steyn ?  The post was to bring the financial figures to the groups attention. The complacency of people in the U.K. and it’s acceptance that our government and Parliament are working for our benefit,  doesn’t ring true.
