Unfortunately the spin concerning the end of the boom and bust cycle did not reflect reality.Whatever your political leanings - transparency or good old sunlight is the best mechanism to combat spin.We must all push for more transparency.With the correct facts people tend to agree on 80% of the issues. That's where we should be - disagreeing on a small  minority of issues (until more facts become clear).Without transparency democracy can not function. Democracy is not just about winning elections it's about people making informed choices.Lets see how transparent they are.
