I think sad news

Dennis Waterman has died aged 74. When he was about 21 he lived down Eleanor Grove, White Hart Lane. Barnes. He used to drink in the Market Gardeners Pub. Pub not there now.

He was married to a Penny Dixon when he was young, he was married 4 times. I new he was married when he lived down White Hart Lane, I remember him walking his dog. He was married in 1967.

I remember seeing them filming in Felsham or Lacy Road, I saw Rula Lenska, that was a long time ago I must have been working in Felsham Rd, at Johnson Baker, Jewellery Shop Fitters. Not there now.

One of the girls I was at school with Gillian, lived in Eleanor grove as well and was going out with the Manager's son of the Market gardeners Pub. I saw them as they were going round to the pub and I said hello Gillian, Dennis goes my names not Gillian. He was so down to earth, it's really sad.

Marc Bolans dad was a caretaker on the Ashburton (Chartfield).Dennis also attended Corona Academy stage school with my Cousin John and brother Pete.The sweeney didna lot of filming in Wandswirth. Their favourite sites were Marl Street lorry parkbin Battersea and fir OBE ofvtge films took over the Felsham Road car park for a week whilst they filmed down and around the river.

I’ve just looked it up on google and Dennis Waterman went to Granard School.  His family lived on the Ashburton Estate. (Marc Bolan’s parents lived on the Ashburton Estate)

I didn’t know Dennis Waterman had a Putney connection, but on Mail Online it says: “When it came to couples in explosive relationships, Hollywood had Richard Burton and Elizabeth Taylor, Putney had Dennis Waterman and Rula Lenska” Also it says Dennis Waterman went to primary school in Putney and his parents lived in a council flat in Chartfield Avenue. Anyone know which primary school?
