I assume the Express meant casualties? There seem to be suggestions from multiple sources that a disproportionate number of senior Russian officers have be killed or wounded. I wondered whether NATO is passing on intelligence information concerning movements of these senior Russians so Ukraine can target them? Also, in these days of remote access who knows where target coordinates are being set or drones being flown from? However, I'm sure all involved are releasing disinformation …

The Daily Express seems to usually portray Russian forces in a complete state:- losses, chaos, retreat, failure, mutiny and demoralisation. Yes, lots of speculation on a possible coup all over the internet, including in that august periodical, the Sun - so I'm inclined to hope, but expect to see it only when (if) it happens.

I'd imagine that even the kleptocrats and oligarchs may have some worries by now. A sick and paranoid despot with his finger on the nuclear button would be a major threat even to them. However:-Winston Churchill describing the intentions and interests of Russia in 1939: "I cannot forecast to you the action of Russia. It is a riddle, wrapped in a mystery, inside an enigma; but perhaps there is a key. That key is Russian national interest."

The Mirror and other news feeds have been running stories about Putin being unwell; possibly having cancer or Parkinson's:https://www.mirror.co.uk/news/world-news/everything-know-vladimir-putins-health-26847894This is speculation, unless the security have gleaned some facts and leaked them. Putin certainly doesn't look well but he must be under immense stress given the failure of his quick "special operation". (Perhaps he'd deluded himself that his forces would be welcomed in Ukraine?)There are apparently some around Putin who share his hardliner views so if he is removed - whether by illness or a opponents - it's difficult to determine how things might develop.
