Post-Covid Lockdown - "Grifter" Back In Our Community
I wanted to warn the local community that a "fairly well-known face" has re-appeared over recent weeks (back in Putney and surrounding areas) having seemingly been generally absent while Covid lock-downs were in force."Alison" (believed to be her birth name) uses a number of aliases, and over recent years has been "working" the local community organsiations (rowing / cycling clubs and other like social hubs etc.) - seeking to ingratiate herself into peoples' houses - not only seeking accommodation - but in particular, trying to house sit / dog care etc. for locals).Once "Alison" has access to an address - she will habitually commence every type of fraud known - coupled with a postal re-direct with Royal Mail - so the first a property owner will generally know about the problems are when bailiffs turn up looking for a person whose name the property owner / occupier does not recognise. The police are well aware of the individual's activities (but have limited resources - although they have been quite successful in ensuring proprietors of premises with public wifi in this area - have stopped the individual undertaking "key logger" frauds in their premises).Be aware that we are a generally prosperous community, with good credit histories (and somewhat naive as to the ways of the world).
