Putney Post Office

I tried to bring back the thread I started 2 or 3 years ago, but couldn’t get it to work, anyway the awful reviews continue on Google.  The latest from a business owner who wanted a letter sending First Class Signed For to Yorkshire but it was sent to France. I haven’t been in for over 2 years and use Mailboxes

Really? If anybody knows more about this please share.So tired of the overcharging rude Post Office. It’s crowded, messy, stuffy and a ripoff. Terrible.

You still need to go into a Post Office if you buy a car from a disabled driver and need to change the tax class to a non-disabled one.

Actually no,It was car insurance.  Went in last week - at least one familiar cross face in there.  LittlePO in Roehampton friendly too.

2014? That's when tax discs were phased out. Its possible there have been staff changes since then

Carl, I agree about the P.O. by Dover House Rd, they are friendly and polite, but they are not so convenient for me. One of the complaints about our main P.O. on Google reviews is overcharging, so if I am going to be charged more than I should be there, I might as well go to Mailboxes where you pay extra. At least my letters end up in the correct countries, unlike the business owner whose letter for Yorkshire ended up in France. The reviews on Google are well worth a read.  Some people find the service at that P.O. so bad they don’t want to leave any stars, but the minimum you can leave is one.  Then you get a few positive reviews, mostly from people who don’t actually go inside and post something, eg “was only walking past, didn’t visit this time”.  This reviewer gave 3 stars.  3 stars too many, imo!

They were cross and pushy wth me when I said 'no' to using them for car tax.They didn't accept the fact that I haven't got a car as a valid reason.

We use the one in the parade of shops near Dover House Road. They chaps who run it are so friendly. The last time had had to use the one closer to the High Street was for car tax, and the staff were rude.
