Had ours stolen. It happens a lot, have actually seen them in Putney jacking up a car and holding up the traffic… they are dangerous criminals best not to comfort.

The actual cut them off and they are worth hundreds of pounds on the second hand market
Paul obviously never leaves our conurbation. Paul has limited horizons. Poor old Paul. Paul is missing out. Don’t be like Paul.

Actually Paul my car is very cheap to run.Car hire/taxi's etc would be far more expensive at present.Rarely used for travelling in London and almost always with more than 2 occupants. In London I prefer to walk or cycle for short journeys.Low cost communal transport resources are the way forward but that will only be possible with low crime cities unfortunately.

Why do you have a car in Putney? You don't need one. Never heard of taxis, Uber or car hire. Of course you have but you want to show off anyway. Costs you a fortune as well.

On the front page "Police Claim Success in Catalytic Converter Theft Crackdown"Not sure if the operation is ongoing or just for 'No Cat Theft January'.This article is 8 months old - it says:"The scrap value of each device has risen to £400..".I assume the price has only gone up. Personally I think the antitheft devicewhould include a years insurance similar to secure bike locks.https://www.driving.co.uk/news/crime/catalytic-converter-thefts-doubled-year-precious-metal-values-soar/https://heycar.co.uk/guides/best-ways-to-prevent-catalytic-converter-theft

If anyone reading this has a Catalytic Converter please look into anti theft devices for it. There are a large number of solid metal shields and brackets that can be quickly attached to the underside of your vehicle to bar some unscrupulous b++++++ from quickly nicking it.They may earn £50-£100 from it in scrap. The replacement cost can be £1000 or morre.
