I am not talking about prices of fuel, I am talking about availability.Of course the oil and gas prices are set internationally. But still, having some of our own could be of help. Also, consider that the US extracts a lot of oil and the petrol prices there are ridiculously cheap! Please, by all means, produce enough non-fossil fuels now to reduce prices. But the reality is that a lot of people have petrol-based cars (electric are prohibitively expensive and dangerous. I am not convinced that lithium batteries are the solution for the environment either!)Most lorries and vans that deliver our foods and medicines, as well as trades people, still drive diesel vehicles. What about airplanes? Also, electricity for our homes. Solar panels continue to be, sadly, very expensive indeed. But I also understand that electricity is produced at power plants using generators run but combustion engines?
