are there still a sea of daffodils each year along Tibbet's Ride?
Years ago (about 9) I used to walk down from Tibbets Corner into Putney all the time and at this time of year there were zillions of daffodils lining the grass verge all the way down towards the Green Man. We had a really arctic blast one spring and they died as the buds were just showing.. did they ever return or do they not exist anymore? I went through Putney on a bus from Putney Bridge for the first time in as many years due to my trains not running re Storm Eunice but not up this stretch so couldn’t see. I was pretty surprised how much of Putney High St has changed. I wouldn’t recognise it these days. Perhaps they relied on my custom too much so when I moved away they all closed down!! Only Bill’s left of all the shops/places I used to go to and that was a newcomer to me back then.
