Work from NOT home options in Putney?

OK so I mostly work from home at the moment and do a lot of laptop work and Teams video calls. I will be unable to work from home for a day next week due to some work being done on the flat so was wondering if anyone had any suggestions or knows of any places where I could work for one day. Perhaps office/desk for hire places in the vicinity? A coffee shop, library or similar isn't an option as i need a quiet/private-ish place to do video calls.Thanks in advance

Hey Jo!I'm Karleigh, the founder of The Office at SW15 and whilst we are a coworking space, we also have private phone booths and meeting rooms which are perfect for video calls when extra privacy is needed. Come down for a trial day and try us out :)

There is a new shop near Southfields tube station that offers work-in spaces, like a coffee shop but aimed at WFHers. I haven't tried it but it might be worth a visit

My initial Google searches didn't really come up with much and I thought there would be a few more options.Hadn't considered the hotel option - good idea - seems to be about similar price to staying overnight bizarrely Having to make potentially sensitive/confidential calls excludes the communal hot desk optionDefinitely a gap in the market for some ad-hoc private workspace :-)

It is an interesting post and initially seems a simple request. I think we have discussed before on the forum about a possible market for one person office pods with communal office facilities. I'm not sure if they exist. Perhaps others may know more??Anyway I had a quick Google and taking into account costs and the video call requirement, hotels seem to be the best bet. Some companies specialise in reselling daytime hotel capacity. Rates seemed very reasonable too.I'm not sure if costs could be lower if approached directly.I discounted the more imaginative solutions assuming like many people you may have scheduled video calls but also the occasional ad-hoc call with short notice.
