Our useless Foreign Secretary seems to be lacking a functioning brain. From the Times report on her disastrous visit to Moscow:[Russian Foreign Minister Sergey] Lavrov then asked Truss: “You recognise Russia’s sovereignty over Rostov and Voronezh regions, don’t you?”. Truss replied that “the UK never recognises Russia’s sovereignty over these regions”, before Deborah Bonnert, the British ambassador, intervened to explain that the regions were in Russia, not Ukraine. A Foreign Office source acknowledged the exchange but credited it to a misunderstanding.Last week Truss was mocked by Russia’s foreign ministry for confusing the Baltic and Black seas, which are more than 700 miles apart, when describing Britain’s Baltic allies, who Nato has vowed to protect. “If anyone needs to be saved from anything, then it is the world from the stupidity and ignorance of Anglo-Saxon politicians,” Maria Zakharova, the ministry spokeswoman wrote on Facebook.
