Odeon Silver Screen returns - or does it?

Last week our lovely Odeon Luxe revived the Silver Screen by showing Belfast that sadly I missed - and sadder still I was informed that it was an 'experiment' to see how popular it would be.  I pointed out that in the past the Silver Screen morning showings were very popluar and generally full of those of us of pensionable age taking advantage of less expensive ticket prices. I fear if not enough of us lobby Odeon it will disappear altogether which would be a great shame when just about everything else is getting more expensive!!

Odeon Silver Screen are discounted showings for the over 60s not classic film screenings. The Odeon is likely to be a matter of 'use it or lose it' as the company will be able to make much more from the site by developing it than running a cinema at current levels of box office.

Belfast is a brand new film, albeit black and white apart from a few scenes inside a cinema. Are they showing old films as well though?
