Putney Bridge closure

Does anyone know why Putney Bridge was closed to traffic earlier?

1.30 pm tape was across the Bridge going towards Fulham, but other side of the road seemed OK. But the High Street seemed empty, as we pulled out of our turning. Would have expected it to be bust with shoppers. As we were going towards the Bridge 2 Police vans were driving away. They must have put the tape across the road.

There was an accident involving a bus and a motorbike.

My daughter passed by it after getting off the tube. Only a bus there but halfway across the road on the east side.
