New Pet Shop - Putney High Street

Opened over the weekend. Not fully fitted out yet so be patient.Extremely friendly owner, forgotten his name. Has had shops elsewhere in Brighton and a few other towns. Very experienced with grand plans for Putney.Ground floor will be Dogs and Cats.Basement floor - reptiles, fish, hamsters, mice etc. Perfect to keep the kids occupied on a trip to the High Street.1st Floor - Grooming!A very good addition to the High Street I would suggest. The owner lives nearby in Riverside Quarter.Good luck to him.

What a hideous prospect - live reptiles. I sincerely hope it will be regularly monitored - not that the care of the creatures once bought will be. Putney High St is really going downhill

Definitely open and with balloons!  Looking quiet today although the manager was standing outside once as I walked past so that may have put people off 😀Looking forward to trying out, although obviously a lot of crossover with Kokoro across the road I suspect there will be enough business for both!

Thanks Jane. A friend of mine acquired the lease for them but seems to have forgotten about when it was opening! Will have to make a visit, decent food from memory of few occasions I've been.

Wasabi is open and seems to be doing brisk trade. They must have forgotten to tell you?

Carole, he won't be selling dogs or cats. I meant dogs and cats accessories and food etc.He did mention he would be selling reptiles and hamsters etc and I did ask him about the restrictions on reptiles which he seemed to know about.

HalloRe the new pet shop in Putney,  I was under the impression that pet shops could no longer sell cats and dogs - not sure about snakes but hopefully the owner will be sufficiently responsible.  Re mice, hamsters etc.,again hope the owner is responsible and will not sell mice etc., to children without a a parent or family member being present.

Looks like they were having a staff opening event earlier this evening and the boarding is down so I would hazard a guess at tomorrow!  Great news! 😀

Sounds really good, didn't know other floors as well. Lets hope the cellar doesn't flood or there might be a lot of people running down the High Street screaming. Watch out, watch out, there's a reptile about.
