It's a chain.I get p****ed of when I look at a website and it doesn't give the legal name of the business. Here "our story" doesn't get you much closer to the facts.But google is my friend. Coppa is owned by multi-millionaire Hugh Osmond, who made his money from Pizza Express, Punch Taverns and other such chains. As such, we may expect a formulaic menu, no favours on the pricing, the usual strategy of surreptitiosly emptying our wallets with sides and extras, but a reasonable amount of professionalism to the extent that we are unlikely to get poisoned or be greeted by the waiter from hell.Will it survive? Well Covid has meant that an operator like Osmond can buy up premises on reasonably low rents, like he did back in the day. Staffing and wage costs are going to be an issue that he didn't have last time around.
