ULEZ expansion: Estimated revenue & cost

Early days yet and the latest revision of estimated payers was on the 22 Oct, before it started.Is 111,000 people paying the daily charge still an over estimate and what is the near term forecast?Revenue will surely shrink considerably over the coming months never the next year or two.Politically it will be hard to change the goal posts after people have bought what they were told were ULEZ compliant cars."According to BBC reporting, TfL has revised its estimate of the number of vehicles having to pay the ULEZ down to 111,000. I agree about the diesels Freddie but that was several years ago.Politically I think he has locked himself in for the rest of his term - I think it will be less than 5 years.On the plus side it looks like BYD's LFP batteries will bring the costs of electric cars & vans down to their combustion engine equivalent quite soon. BYD have now got a partnership in Greece to supply their goods vehicles including a van. No news about a UK partnership yet. Looks like Tesla have finally signed a battery deal with BYD too.

Think you’re smugly safe with you’re ULEZ compliant car? Good luck with that in the next 5-10 years.
