Hi MichaelHope all is well with you.  Just to come back on a couple of your points.I would agree that whilst there is conflicting information it is likely that the Covid vaccines provide some protection against transmission particularly in the first two or three months, but it does not appear to be a high level, and this also dwindles.  If you look at PHE’s own data for the older cohorts in the uk who had it earlier it appears to offer no protection against catching after several months (thus the proposal for the booster of course) - see table 6 of course this is raw data but it does seem to suggest as we know that it is very effective against death and hospitalisation but not against catching and therefore transmission…https://assets.publishing.service.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/1032859/Vaccine_surveillance_report_-_week_45.pdfTherefore taking it if you are at risk (eg elderly, immune compromised or other conditions) would seem to be a highly sensible approach.  If you are young with no other conditions then the only reason given is effectively to lower transmission.  If it is not very effective at this as it currently does not appear to be that justification surely becomes lower. You mention tetanus that needs to be repeated every 10 years,  I have this and have had several of these no problems, but one shot every 10 years that has close to 100% effectiveness and of which we have many years of experience (developed in the 1920s, rolled out massively in the 1940s) cannot surely be used as a simile for a vaccine that has just over a year since the first trials started and about 9 months since mass roll out, requires (it appears) a shot every 6 months(??), uses relatively new technology to produce the spike protein rather than injecting an inactivated whole virus per traditional vaccines. That said no issue in people having access to this, the issue I have is the level of coercion around the world to force people to get thisHere in the Uk - 10’000s of care workers who struggled heroically through the first wave when you and I were comfortably at home (I assume) being sacked for having reservations about taking a new drug.  Thousands more healthcare workers on notice  If this had a very high effectiveness at blocking catching/ transmission over some time more than a couple of months and had been through longer testing then maybe fair enough but that’s not the case- millions of children encouraged to have a vaccine that won’t help them, but as we are seeing the spike protein causing vascular issues may harm some of them.  Many papers coming out on this here’s one I googled at random from the university of Tennessee medical .https://www.frontiersin.org/articles/10.3389/fcvm.2021.687783/fullIncreasingly over Europe (and wales/ Scotland) as well as elsewhere vaccine passports for access to local services being introduced at a huge infringement of civil liberties we would never have believed possible a few years ago.  This is invasive control in the lives of many and it’s not clear that any benefits are weighed against the loss of liberty and huge societal schisms this will createSo tried and proven vaccines offered but not coerced - bring them on, happily taking. New vaccines that are being forced on the world population relentlessly restricting civil liberties globally whilst many are uneasy over taking them before health impacts beyond a year can be known?I’m surprised you’re surprised there are grave concerns over this.I had one in the summer and then by the time I was due a 2nd Israel were already mandating a 3rd due to the short term efficacy and more reviews on the potential negative impacts of the spike protein were coming out.  I’m assuming in a year or so with more data assuming all looks good more “hesitant” people will be more relaxed but that of course is a year out.It seems to me the approach of protecting the elderly and ill through access to enough jabs is sensible, beyond that too much is unknown to coerce young people into taking, and as I say it is the effective coercion and restriction of liberties that is happening without it being really clear on the benefits that is most of concern and feeds scepticism.
