How sad to hear that Mr Field is dying. He has recently been in a hospice so unfortunately it seems the time he has left is short. 🙁

It is very sad news. Seems to be a consensus that he was a very good MP.On the other subject, seems odd that the HoL should discussed elected dying and not elected living!

Very sad. I didn't agree with all of what he said but I saw he was a decent man and (in later life at least) set out his views regardless of party politics. Parliament is - and we will be - poorer without him.

Sad to hear that as his views on assisted dying were read by Boroness Meacher in the Lords Debate. Brave and dedicated of him to send a written statement in support of the bill.
