Buses and cars were stopped by police on motorbikes earlier today to let around a dozen police cars drive through. They went down West Hill. Anyone heard what might have happened?

there was also some sort of pile up on the URR, saw a load of police and the air ambulance
yes I knew the Asda underpass etc were flooded today. this definitely wasn't anything to do with that.

So did you see the pictures of Knightsbridge? It's been a bit like being rain bombed recently - very very heavy in particularareas.

I don’t think the flooding was there specially. Probably just the best place to divert traffic for a blockage further down towards New Maldon.

Wow. I've never heard it flood there before. Usually the underpass by New Malden is the flood point.

TFL trafic news says "[A3] Kingston Road (SW15) (Southbound) at the junction of Robin Hood Roandabout - The road is closed due to flooding. In addition, the right turn from Roehampton Lane onto Kingston Road is also closed."
The A3 was blocked by a police car at the junction of Kingston Vale about an hour or so ago. I was stuck in the traffic being diverted. Still closed from looking at Google Maps.
