Anyone want to not talk about government, not talk about petrol, not talk about Brexit, not talk about XR? Anyone want to cheer that Facebook, whatsapp and insta are all down? Where will I get my algorithmic misinformation from now? 😂. Twitter doing some excellent trolling about it. Monday is out of the way, roll on the rest of the week.

I heard several reports that the FB BGP routes had gone, which obviously meant DNS couldn't resolve anything. Yes, agreed, Matt; having been there in the past, I feel for their techies. A couple of thousand users is bad enough but billions? :-(Still, they're back now and I've just got a couple of FB messages from someone about joining an earlier Zoom call!The question is did FB maked some quick changes to their BGP routing to stop certain traffic going through some legal jurisdictions after last night's wistleblower revelations or was it just one of those awful "oh  no" moments :-) I suppose it wasn't hardware?

It's so lovely to have all those systems online, am very much enjoying the peace and quiet.As someone who works in IT though I have some sympathy for the poor techies desperately trying to work out what's wrong!
