"council tax rises?"The question is can we get better services for any council tax increase?I would certainly want to see where any increase goes, especially on policing. What resources did Wandsworth get after the last council tax increase and how were they spent?Looking at the front page "Wandsworth Police in Street Robbery Crackdown" it is very depressing.It is part of the Police's job to make sure that a woman can go for a jog alone in a park with headphones listening to music on her mobile. Why shouldn't she?We need to allocate resources appropriately we can't do that if we don't know what we got and how they are used.Green and low crime go together we can't do one without the other and we need both.Unless I've missed it I'm not seeing anything new from any part at the moment!

The best thing that could happen to the UK is for the Conservative Party to wither and die. Higher council tax and dustbins only emptied once a fortnight, whilst not being my preference, are a small price to pay

My guess Martine is that many in Putney are faux socialists who will overtly spout woke socialist tropes but covertly vote Conservative in order to hang on to more of their dosh to splurge on even more champagne.

I read the article in The Sunday Times today and that’s a very good comment by Adam.
Am I right in thinking we have council elections next year?  How will the champagne socialists of SW15 vote?   If Labour were voted in, in Wandsworth, presumably we will see council tax rises?  Or will the champagne Socialists, thinking of possible increased council tax bills, vote Conservative?

Surely in the era of "levelling up" isn't cmapagne socialism a "good thing"? We don't want to keep the champagne just for the Etonians, do we?
