What is next on the panic buy list?

The tubes for blood samples are in short supply, meaning that in many cases blood tests are not being performed. How could this happen? We've had two Health Secretaries this year and neither foresaw a shortage of these containers. This isn't BAD government - it's NO government.

We ate several Christmas puddings over the last year - none of which was bought the previous year.  It's amazing the amount of food that it is reckoned that we throw away over the Christmas period.  It just goes to show how rich we are as a country that we can do this.  With a bit more time I'm sure we can manage it better.Apparently we waste 7 million tonnes in the UK in a year.  270,000 tons just over the Christmas period and so much of that is in date. :(https://www.respectfood.com/article/how-much-food-goes-to-waste-during-christmas-and-how-can-we-prevent-it/We have a solar light that sits on the windowsill ready for when the lights go out.  It's great to not have torches with flat batteries any more.

I doubt theyll be many of todays newspapers in the shops tomorrow ?Was thinking of standing by the marmite shelf at the supmkt,later, and suggesting an upcoming shortage. At least then they could put something nice in its empty space.

Any medicines you are reliant upon. Now that it is clear that our supply chains are dodgy, this has to be a concern. Were I a diabetic, I'd always have a month's insulin in the fridge and a month's supply of injectors, test strips etc.

How first world!  For the last few Christmases we've had sandwiches. It has been a welcome rest from the madness and stress of the consumerist overconsumption it has turned into. It is much more fun just sharing time and less food with friends and family when the roads and shops aren't difficult to use.

Unfortunately Michael there can be supply chain issues as shown by a recent outlet being temporary closed down.Domestic political party changes will also mean some have bought the wrong one and they can't be returned especially if purchased from overseas :)
