You still confuse single issue pressure groups with political parties. XR and IB don't have any illusion that they can govern the country better or have a comprehensive set of policies which will benefit the electorate (unlike the Tory Party). These groups are agitating for the government that we HAVE elected to take particular actions. There is nothing particularly novel about this, such groups have existed for centuries. Slavery abolitionists, votes for women groups, CND, to give just a few examples, none of them were expected just to shut up until they'd obtained a majority in a general election.There is nothing "undemocratic" about protest, indeed to object to protest in principle is undemocratic in itself. The issue with IB is the nature of the protests they are making.
