Strange Times

On my walk this morning I noticed that XR and antivaxxers have both polluted Putney with their stickers-are they employing the same agency? or just the same annoying tactics. Meanwhile a wonderful group were picking up litter on the Embankment. Strange times indeed.

If electric cars aren't moving their traction units aren't drawing any power so why would they get stranded. I'm assuming the drivers wouldn't leave headlights on or run heaters at full blast, and radios use minimal power so non traction power use should be small - I'm sure no one responsible enough to buy an electric car would apprtoach the M25 with insufficient contingency power for running non traction appliances :-)

So who is going to push all the vehicles off onto the hard shoulder if they are at a stand still and nobody can move. Look at the bigger picture Philippa, not one Ambulance with it's little solar panel.

I have removed all the circus posters, didn't notice the stickers. LBW seem to have fallen apart on PHS, do you know anyone who would like to help, or set up a what's app group,of volunteers.. I also want to clean up Quill Bridge

Imagine that, then they would also be blocking all the other vehicles then all the electric fire engines and ambulances all stuck on the M25.

I wonder if any electric powered cars ran dry in the queues of traffic on the m25? Maybe if like Phillipa they went round with a solar panel on their head ( roof) they would have been fine.

Philippa. WHAT ABOUT ALL THE CAR DRIVERS BLOCKING ROADS. If they make the pavements wider obviously Emergency Services are unable to get past. Oh and what about all the twerps who are getting arrested for blocking the roads. Are the solar panels going to save the heart attack and stroke victims.

I can't help but notice that 'Chris' who was taking his mum to the hospital after her stroke seems to have vanished. Odd because with all the outrage you'd think there would be interviews with him in the papers.

So what about all the unnecessary car drivers who create traffic blocking roads making it more difficult for ambulances and other emergency services?  And what about all the ambulances who can't unload their patients because there isn't enough room/aren't enough staff in the hospitals? There is a reason BTW for emergency vehicles to have flashing lights and sirens. They also have equipment.  In the case of ambulances the staff will have had medical training (and I've seen solar panels on the roofs of ambulances).Maybe we should all think more about our actions (or lack of them)?

I agree about the tacky posters, especially so many plastered across the footbridge over the river. Resources wasted to put them up and remove them not to mention they look awful. I think many support the overriding objectives of these groups but are tiring of these sorts of initiatives that will see support wane. Much of it seems to be more about the egos of the individuals concerned. I read about one of the organisers of the m5 nonscence earlier, certainly a case of 'do as I say not as I do' with him. Also read about the chap taking a stroke victim to hospital and caught in the traffic - if people died as a result of the little gimmick the organisers should be up for manslaughter.
