Council making some changes to recycling to make it easier for us

There was a large increase in the amount of online shopping during the pandemic so there must have been a huge increase in cardboard being recycled or should have been.  It's pretty daft trying to shove large cardboard boxes into plastic bags when we are trying to reduce the amount of unnecessary plastic we use.  Flattened boxes are usually pretty easy to collect - just try not to leave them out too long in the rain to get wet.There has actually been a shortage of cardboard and the rumour was that Amazon had bought it all up!

They could usefully remind binmen that up to 5 black plastic sacks of garden refuse is OK - see Council website. Lately they have been taking only 3 sacks.

Perhaps also making it easier for the council as well as they appear to be short of or unable to deliver clear plastic bags? :-)
