TfL's Increased Fines and PCN's

Don't bother going to the 'consultation' - it's all worded in such a way that no good citizen could possibly disagree with the increases, with no real tick options to tell them where to shove it.This on top of the expansion of the ULEZ zone, record-busting energy increases, end of furlough or temporary Universal Credit for some folk ... need I go on?  Hurting people most at a time when many have had their income decimated.I know - park responsibly and you won't get fined - but appointments overrun, signage is often inadequate or confusing, every Borough seems to do its own thing and drivers are great cash cows when maladministration is bringing TfL to its knees.

If everyone learnt and used the Dutch Reach (which is part of the Driving Test in Holland) you should have been saved that problem.  It could also save many lives a year. Hopefully it will be part of ours.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WeM984dk220

Please, if you are eligible for a Blue Badge don't be too proud or stoical and avoid doing anything about it.  It won't help you with ULEZ (which is long overdue and the intention of which is to take the most polluting cars off the road) but it will help you to park or be dropped off without as much hassle as you might otherwise have.  It took us a long time to get one for an elderly relative who had stopped driving a long time before but who now needed to be taken to plenty of hospital and other appointments and - just going out to eat occasionally.It would have made all of our lives much easier to have organised one earlier.  We both had to take time off work to accompany to appointments as one so often had to drop off and then park the car while the other walked taking an arm or later on pushed the wheelchair (hospitals have long corridors).https://www.wandsworth.gov.uk/roads-and-transport/blue-badge-and-travel-passes/

What TFL does is the same as many councils. They ticket you in the hope you won't protest it and you'd rather pay it in the 2 week window when it's 50% charge. Even though on the camera shots as to why I've stopped was to have a conversation with the driver that opened his door without looking and took out my lights, mirror and side. But I still got a PCN from TFL and when I said I was there after a collision, they wanted proof from the insurer..... Not mention the fact they could see the proof in their own photos and video.
