So Jean has all the main symptoms again even after two vax. Cough, chest pains, dizziness, headache and fatigue etc. He has had TWO tests this week and both came back as negative!

Ah, yes, better speak with Jean's doctor; Covid seems a complex disease. If you have difficulty negotiating the surgery system it might be worth going via 111 as they sometimes seem to be able to short circuit the practice systems to get phone or in person appointments with doctors. Good luck!

Is he taking part in the Long Covid study group? I heard someone on the radio talking about giving Long Covid patients their own white cells back. Basically taking a blood sample from the patient isolating the white cells and putting them back into the patient. It seemed to offer some success. Sorry I can't remember which programme but likely to be Radio 4 or World Service health programmes.Good luck to both of you. Get well soon Jean!

The poor man, he must be really fed up!It is really rotten luck that he gets the symptoms again as well as suffering from long COVID!It is also frightening to think the tests are not that reliable. All the best!

Hi Michael they were PCR tests.

No Ivonne. They are definitely all the same Covid symptoms. All he can do is take painkillers for the headache and rest.I just want to make the point that these tests aren't as reliable as we are led to think.I will contact Putneymead on Monday so it is on his medical record. Although they have just changed their booking system and it seems more complicated than ever.
Sorry to hear that, Lucille. Were they home, lateral flow, tests rather than PCR lab tests? My understanding is lateral flow tests have a fairly high false negative rate. If PCR probably not Covid. (You can get a PCR test to do at home and send to a lab if you haven't already done so.)
