More than a shopping list and I'm online where I can move paragraphs around!  I just can't imagine going back to typing minutes so that they can be printed on a Gestetner instead of using a photocopier or those fiddly corrector ribbons or rubbing out or whitener on a typewriter.  The trouble is those who still dictate now often keep on changing their minds as a result of knowing it is easier on a word processor instead of making their minds up first - so there are more versions and it takes longer! And as for the hours lost and the frustration when the machine and printer won't communicate!  I've been in Sainsbury's when the tills weren't working with cards.  I was pleased to be able to buy supper with cash.  I think we need to be flexible and able to use both high and low tech!

Thanks, Phillipa. I'm glad (as someone involved in IT since the early 70s) that I'm not the only person who jots down notes and list on the back of used envelopes! (Although I do often use Google "Keep Notes" so I can access my notes and lists with a phone, tablet or PC anywhere in the world that has internet connectivity 🙂)I always feel sorry for the poor people who have to dress up in these weird outfits at business shows - always stops me moaning about my life!

Lovely pic.  Tech is only good when and if it works!  I still write my shopping list on the back of an envelope.  The possibility of losing that is still there but so is having a phone to hand or losing my phone.  We do still have pens and pencils and can find paper and the multi-sensory actions of handwriting is somehow more memorable than typing.  I couldn't tell you where all the letters are on a typewriter - it is now automatic.
