Just been reading the Italian Plumber, I have never heard such rubbish. If every plumber moaned like he does, they should change their job. If he came round to every home moaning he wouldn't get much work. Or moaning trying to say how difficult everything is to fix and pushing up the prices. It's definitely  a load of crap.

I think they are quite entertaining.My FIL who was losing his sight was absolutely mortified at the thought of not leaving the loo in the "condition that others might like to find it" so he used to use the bog brush on it after using it.  A thoughtful carer fixed one of those nice smelly blocks to the side of the bowl...  We had to call a plumber out.  Just the thought of a blocked and flooding loo is unbearable in probably all situations but certainly in this - especially when you are trying to deal with problems long distance!

He probably was Barbara.Toilet cistern are very divisive IMO, with one camp that thinks they should be left alone and the other dropping all sorts of objects in them that have called out to them from the supermarket shelves.
