As far as I am aware from Safer Neighbourhood meetings, we only have one policeman with powers of arrest in Putney. He has been recently involved in knife searches of parks, and violent crime etc.I have been reporting cyclists and scooters on pavements, but they are hard to catch in the act. Sometimes I tackle them myself as they whizz by with a good shout that pavements are for pedestrians.. Actually got a cyclist to dismount! E scooters are illegal on pavements. The over widening of pavements has left it more dangerous to use them on the roads. Just thankful we are not in a part of the Borough that is conducting trials of these damn things. Suggest readers join Safer Neighbourhoods meetings, next one 7pm, 11th August, we need more to speak out in public meetings, and also write to their local councillors and Fleur Anderson.
