My understanding is most house fires from batteries are caused by lithium ones in phones, tablets and laptops, etc and often arise because of poor practice: overcharging, cheap chargers, getting batteries wet, ... water and lithium often don't go well. Interestingly, I read a US report where the fire service complained that the Tesla car fire they were trying to extinguish kept flaring up as they sprayed water on it; I wondered why they weren't using foam?
