Lots on google if you search it out. There was a furniture restorer in Barnes  since moved to Perivale Matt Grint 07788 796070  that was on Nextdoor back in Jan. I haven't used him but may be worth a try. Proceed with caution in my experience! Good luck.

Thank you for a helpful post Alexander!Matt, a French polisher basically strips back the varnish to remove the marks on an old piece of furniture then revarnishes it I believe. I have a beautiful vintage (1950s) dressing table which needs the work done!

This may be a springboard: Last year I had six cane-backed dining chairs repaired by a company called Grieco in Croydon phone 07856871905. French polishing may not be their speciality but I would guess they have contacts in that line of business. They did an excellent job for me and were most pleasant to deal with. The number is a mobile - persist and they will respond!
