Another clever nasty scam warning
Another warning - from a neighbour. I just wanted to make you aware of a scam that I almost fell for yesterday (was half way through reading out my card number until I realised). Scammers had somehow hacked a restaurants database where I have a booking on Friday. They called me, knew my name, booking time etc and asked me to pay a £20 deposit (not unusual nowadays). It was a private number and when I asked him to email a number for me to call from the restaurants email he hung up, and since them I've received am email from the restaurant mentioning they'd been hacked. Very sad how sophisticated these ploys are becoming!
