I'm sure the infighting in a divided party can wear you down. Isn't it the same in the Labour party? The coalition was a disaster for the Lib-Dems.I did and continue to find Matt funny.  Arrogance is just ignorance with attitude.

I was quite keen on Cameron and Osbourne as a combo.... they had my support. But Dave trying to hang on to power for a few months by allowing all the nut-jobs in the Conservative party to vote for Brexit; what a total loser. He blew away all credibility.... right there.

No, you are right Michael.  The behaviour seems to be the norm, is very common and accepted among politicians, be they former or current. Cash for questions and MPs expenses also come to mind.The saying "it is who you know, not what you know" applies as well, sadly.
