Ferry across the Thames now open!

Yes Ed, a nice ride down the river, used to see Trevor Bayliss, who invented the wind up radio in his garden on Eel Pie Island. Had an old fashioned car in his back garden. But sadly he died a few years ago.

I haven't been there in a couple of decades. Lots more people but still a lovely view. No cattle in the meadow, I'm not sure what the end result was with them?Barbara the ferry is tiny and probably half the width of Barnes. The Uber one has been specified at 800 per hour peak but no mention of waiting/crossing times per hour.I forgot all about pubs and pints by the river :(

Ivonne, we used to moor there and go to the swan Pub with the boat club.

Ed it's only like a large dory a flat bottom boat carries say 12 people. It's half Tidal as you have Richmond Lock in between. The river is also narrower up there.
