Cancelled AgeUK Fundraiser ... but you can support Alfie
The pandemic derailed Putney women's fiction writer Amanda Egan's annual fundraising event for AgeUK Wandsworth last year and, with continuing uncertainty about restrictions on indoor activities, this year's event has unfortunately also had to be put off. However AgeUK are running a 'Waggy Walk' during April and Amanda has committed to raising awareness and donations by walking her (very cute) poodle-x Alfie on a different route on Putney Heath every day.Could you please help Amanda & Alfie to continue her good work by visiting her page at [please highlight and copy] https://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/fundraiser-display/showROSomeoneSpecialPage?pageUrl=PeggyEgan in memory of her mum, Putney local Peggy Egan, who herself was a 'Be-a-Friend' volunteer for AgeUK.Any amount would be gratefully received and you'd be supporting a wonderful charity that has seen unprecedented demand for its services during the pandemic and desperately needs more funding to carry on its valued work for the older community.
